Minimize weather disruptions

WeatherOptics data is now available on HERE Marketplace for transport and logistics companies

Improved ETAs

Disruptive weather conditions can have a major impact on supply chains.

WeatherOptics works with some of the largest shippers and supply chain software companies in North America to help them predict and mitigate trucking delays and accidents.

The company uses weather data, non-weather factors and ground truth impact data to understand how weather affects driver and vehicle performance.

That data is now available on the HERE Marketplace for transport and logistics companies to use to gain more accurate ETAs, better routing and mitigate the effects of extreme weather.

As part of the partnership, these new insights will be available on the HERE Platform. Supply chain managers can get forecasts up to seven days ahead of time.

WeatherOptics will also use HERE Routing to better enable their customers' access to the best real-time routing and vehicle data.

The goal is to have transportation companies be proactive instead of reactive when it comes to disruptive weather conditions. If HERE users can be alerted several hours or even days ahead of time about the likelihood of delays and disruptions, they can improve how they work with their drivers, dispatchers, logistics planners – and ultimately – their customers.

Understanding upcoming weather patterns provides key insights for logistics managers as they build the fastest, safest and most cost-effective routing plan. Partnering with WeatherOptics provides another layer of information logistics companies can use when managing transportation networks, saving time and resources.
