Welcome to the latest announcements for the HERE Location Suite (which also just so happens to be the first of 2020!) This post covers the D112 release of the HERE Location Suite.
This release includes updates of: Fleet Telematics API, Mobile SDKs for Android and iOS and Map Data for Mobile SDK. This release is mainly a maintenance release.
The release highlights are:
Two New Authentication Types for improved security
Toll system transponders support in Fleet Telematics API
New Mobile SDKs for Android and iOS with routing and navigation based on custom map data support, school zone warner, avoid countries during route construction and other improvements

Fleet Telematics API (Version 3.0.26)
New features:
Routing avoid tunnels (activate e.g. by &mode=fastest;truck;traffic:disabled;tunnel:-2)
Specify which toll system transponders you have, to enjoy the cheaper tariffs (activate e.g. by &tollPass=SunPass,E-Z Pass)
HERE Android SDK
SDK Starter edition Version 3.14 is deprecated. Only critical defects will be fixed in future releases.
Added a warner that informs about school zone restrictions ahead
Implemented routing and navigation based on custom map data. The feature provides an opportunity to add private roads for your facilities, block road links that may be closed for short term construction works, etc. This is a Beta feature.
Added ability to use real-time traffic information during offline mode
Improved turn-by-turn navigation for trucks: added ability to get a distance to truck restrictions on a route during navigation
Allowed calculation of the distance to geofence within the offline mode
Added ability to retrieve current country information from geo-coordinates (like country code and measurement system)
Extended routing options with the possibility to avoid specific countries during route construction
Provided API to disable map marker jumping during dragging
Implemented resorting algorithm for list of points of map polygon to avoid self-intersection figure
Implemented font auto-resizing to fit fixed-size truck restriction icon
HERE iOS SDK
Added support for new devices: iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPad 7

The following services had new releases with minor changes:
Map Data for Mobile SDK Version 8.30.103.151 (December 2019)
Other HERE Location Services got support of a new way of authentication with an API Key or token.
Announcing Two New Authentication Types:
Starting December 11, HERE has introduced the use of API Keys or OAuth 2.0 Tokens for improved security, as announced on our developer blog.
Existing accounts using APP CODE credentials will continue to be supported.
For HERE SDK for IOS & Android (Lite & Premium Edition), only APP CODE credentials are supported.
All other newly generated apps will require API Key or OAuth 2.0 Token credentials.

System status for HERE Location Services can be found at status.here.com. You can also use the system status API to check for any events impacting HERE services.
