From advancements in EVs to autonomous mobility, the return of the Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas promises to deliver some exciting trends.

This year's Consumer Electronics Show — CES for short — is being held from Jan 5th - 8th. With thousands of exhibits, it will be the biggest electronics show in the world. HERE360 looks at some of the highlights on the agenda and the topics that will keep everyone talking.

Reducing emissions

Technology that supports electric fleets as well as passenger cars will be a prominent trend this year.

Driving into a green future

Not only is CES 2023 the biggest week in tech, but the annual conference is also set to become the largest automotive show in the US for the first time ever. We are looking forward to seeing new models of electric vehicles (EVs) from Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, BMW and others.

Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares is giving a keynote speech to kick things off. In it, he is expected to emphasize how “sustainability is rooted in all our decisions," which is an interesting indication of where things are headed. The company aims to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2038, a good example of how the automotive industry continues to highlight its green ambitions.

We are also anticipating many of the innovations in the world of batteries from companies such as SK Group.

Routing technology for EVs will be key, with HERE showcasing its navigation tools for trucks as more fleets switch to electric. As CES hosts its Indy Autonomous Challenge again, technology that can facilitate autonomous driving will be high on the agenda.

Tracing every element of a supply chain is essential to improve sustainability.

Predict, plan, save

These past two years have been defined by supply chain disruption affecting almost all industries.

The HERE booth includes a haptic table where visitors can see for themselves how to achieve end-to-end visibility in logistics, even when facing disruption from external factors.

It is no surprise that many of the big names at CES 2023 will be showcasing technology that helps build supply chain resilienceMicrosoft is one of those planning to share learnings from its own global supply chain and partner ecosystem.

Sustainability, as well as resilience, will be a major focus for many of the companies demonstrating logistics tools and services. One session, entitled "The Era of Sustainable Consumer Electronics" will look at ways that enterprises seek greener solutions, including where they source key materials.

Transportation is critical if we are to create greener supply chains. Bosch, expected to win an innovation award at this year's event, will be unveiling a host of interesting solutions for transportation, including new systems that support e-bikes.

There will no doubt be plenty of surprise announcements and jaw-dropping launches this year. Watch this space for more news as it happens.

Join us for four days of exhibits, talks and announcements. Discover how you can build better with HERE.
