What to watch at the Paris Motor Show: insights from HERE's CCO

Designed as an AI-native layer that connects agentic AI systems to trusted geospatial intelligence, HERE Location Reasoning (HLR) steps in where language models fall short.
Language models interpret intent well, but they cannot compute a deterministic route, validate a geocoded address or predict EV charging availability on their own. Those tasks need authoritative, real-time geospatial data, not a probabilistic guess dressed up as an answer.
Think of HLR as a translator between your AI agent and everything HERE knows about the physical world. Your agent says what it needs, and HLR gets the answer, with no juggling of dozens of mapping APIs.
Through one simple connection, your agent can check live traffic, look up addresses, find nearby places, plan routes for cars or delivery trucks, and locate EV charging.
HLR is now available through a pay-as-you-go subscription in AWS Marketplace and across a growing ecosystem of AI platforms, agentic integrated development environments (IDEs) and spatial platforms, including Wherobots.
In other words, you keep your own language model, framework and app setup. HLR just handles the location part, with answers that are grounded and easy to explain.
HLR is now easier to get your hands on, whichever way you like to work.
Add a HLR subscription to your existing AWS Marketplace account, so budgeting, buying and deploying are simpler for engineers and procurement alike.
Use HLR as a Kiro Power. When a coding task needs location smarts, the tools, docs and best practices load automatically.
HLR is open source and Agent Plugin-compatible, so it works with OpenAI's Codex, Anthropic's Claude Code, Microsoft's VS Code, Cursor and apps built on other leading foundation models.
HLR is now part of the Whereobots AI Context Engine for Physical World Data, available through Whereobots Spatial AI Tools and its MCP Server. A first-party agent is on the way.
When AI only answers questions, a vague reply is a small annoyance. But once it starts taking action, mistakes get expensive. An agent that sends a truck toward a bridge it can't fit under or guesses wrong about how far an EV can go, is a real problem for real people.
As a simplified entry point into broader HERE capabilities, HLR helps enterprise AI agents make more reliable real-world decisions while giving customers full control over their LLM, agent framework and application architecture.
Logistics teams can use it to dispatch and deliver more efficiently. Automotive teams can build assistants that understand destinations and charging needs. Enterprise teams can plan field service and place assets with more confidence.
An agent is only as trustworthy as the data behind its decisions.
