HERE Technologies releases 2025 Sustainability Report

• Report highlights net-zero progress, responsible AI leadership and measurable climate impact for customers and partners

Amsterdam, The Netherlands – HERE Technologies, the leading mapping and location data platform, today released its 2025 Sustainability Report, detailing progress across environmental, social and governance (ESG) priorities and underscoring the role of location intelligence in delivering real-world sustainability outcomes.

The report highlights HERE’s continued advancement toward its net‑zero emissions commitment, strengthened governance and accountability, and growing customer impact through solutions that support safer roads, lower emissions and more efficient infrastructure.

Highlights from HERE’s 2025 Sustainability Report include:

Progress against science-based net‑zero targets. In 2025, HERE demonstrated measurable progress in reducing its environmental impact. The company decreased greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in line with its net-zero commitment through expanding its renewable electricity transition, streamlining its global office footprint and optimizing cloud computing resources.

Leadership in responsible AI and data governance. In 2025, HERE became the first location data company to achieve ISO/IEC 42001 certification for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems, reinforcing its AI leadership. The company also strengthened enterprise-wide AI governance, privacy‑by‑design practices and security and risk management programs.

Location‑enabled solutions deliver sustainability impact. HERE’s location-based solutions help customers meet carbon-reduction goals, improve safety and operate more efficiently. In one example in Argentina, HERE and its partners helped modernize routing for municipal recycling fleets, reducing average journey times by 20%. In another example, HERE’s map data and real-time road alerts helped professional drivers avoid bridge strikes and reduce fleet operational costs. HERE is also co-developing next‑generation navigation systems designed to reduce distracted driving across India.

Advancing inclusion, engagement and community impact. HERE expanded employee engagement and community initiatives through employee resource group engagement, leadership development and community partnerships. The #ActsOfKindness campaign, launched in 2025, helped translate ESG principles into action by supporting local communities and strengthening global employee connection.
