We are happy to announce the availability of our next major release, HERE SDK 4.26.0.0. With this release, it is highly recommended that all customers currently using HERE SDK 4.25.x migrate to HERE SDK 4.26.0 as soon as possible, due to stability issues identified in the 4.25.x release line.
Upgrading to HERE SDK 4.26.0 helps ensure improved application stability, reduced risk of runtime issues, and a more reliable HERE SDK foundation for production applications. Customers should plan and perform the upgrade from 4.25.x to 4.26.0 at the earliest opportunity.
We not only fixed many bugs and added major improvements, but also included additional features from our quarterly roadmap in this release:
Commercial Vehicle Regulations (Beta)
Added AdministrativeCommercialVehicleRules and related types to enable vehicle‑specific access restrictions, speed limits, and drive/rest regulations when crossing into new administrative regions.
Data is exposed via BorderCrossingWarning.commercialVehicleRegulations.
Added AdministrativeRules.adminContextId and AdministrativeRules.parentAdminContextIds to support CVR data loading.
Lane Decrease Warnings (Beta)
Added LaneDecreaseWarning to notify about upcoming lane reductions.
Added LaneDecreaseWarningListener for Navigator and VisualNavigator.
Location Manager Integration (Beta)
Added locationManager to NavigatorProtocol to retrieve the LocationManager used for map‑matched location processing.
Custom Warnings Framework (Beta)
Added WarnerEngine, WarningListener, WarningsRegistry, CustomWarning, and CustomWarningProvider types.
Added optional Warning.customWarningType and a new custom value to WarningType.
Added a warnerEngine getter to NavigatorInterface.
See the NavigationWarners app and Developer Guide for examples.
Border Crossing Enhancements (Beta)

Added includeCommercialVehicleRegulations option to BorderCrossingWarningOptions (default: false).
Warning Instance Identifiers
Added unique id values for BorderCrossingWarning, DangerZoneWarning, EnvironmentalZoneWarning, LowSpeedZoneWarning, RailwayCrossingWarning, RealisticViewWarning, RoadSignWarning, SafetyCameraWarning, SchoolZoneWarning, TollStop, TrafficMergeWarning, and TruckRestrictionWarning.
Indoor Routing
Added IndoorSectionDetails for indoor route sections.
Added IndoorManeuverActions defining supported indoor routing actions.
Added IndoorRoutePlace representing a place for indoor routing.
Route Refresh API

Added OfflineRoutingEngine.refreshRoute(...) method.
Improved Offline Search Algorithm (Beta)
Enhanced OfflineSearchEngine to support implicitly prefetched map content in addition to downloaded regions.
Enable via LayerConfiguration.Feature.offlineSearchGlobal in SDKOptions.layerConfiguration.enabledFeatures and SDKOptions.layerConfiguration.implicitlyPrefetchedFeatures.
Added InstalledRegion.lastUpdateTime to show when a persisted region was last updated.
Added LocationManager for position updates and map‑matched locations.
Added LocationManagerListener and MatchedLocationListener for update notifications.
This is a beta feature covering LocationManager and related listeners.
Vehicle Restrictions (Beta)
Added VehicleRestriction.appliesToDelivery.
Supported in VehicleRestrictionIconProperties and PickMapContentResult.
Map Scene Utilities
Added MapScene.removeAllMapItems() to clear all map items from a scene.
Multi‑Colored Polylines (Beta)
Added MapPolyline.SolidMultiColorRepresentation.
DataAttributesAccessor and DataAttributeValue now support Color values.
Added vdrEnabled to SensorOptions to control Vehicle Dead Reckoning (VDR) usage alongside GNSS.
Requires a separate license.
Updated supported versions:
Flutter: 3.35.7 → 3.38.10
Dart: 3.9.2 → 3.10.9
Only Flutter 3.38.10 and Dart 3.10.9 are officially supported in this release.
The next Flutter update is planned with HERE SDK 4.27.0.0.
NOTE: Following the release of HERE SDK 4.26.0.0, HERE SDK 4.26.4.0 is the next regular version we are publishing. HERE SDK versions 4.26.1.0, 4.26.2.0, and 4.26.3.0 were internal releases and will not be published, as we decided to focus our efforts on further stabilizing the major release. Therefore, HERE SDK 4.26.4.0 marks the next regular release in the 4.26 release line.
