In digital mapping, a map model defines the types of map data it includes, the use cases it addresses, and the ways the map model stores and references the data itself. In practice, a digital map product may integrate several map models. It's also common to process and store map data using one model, then publish that data to a different model. HERE uses the following map models in all these combinations, depending on the map product:
